Andersen Design is a small American hand crafted ceramic production company on the Maine coast. We have an extensive line of designs of wildlife sculptures and contemporary functional design. Andersen Design was established in the 1950’s and our designs are authentically mid-century, The handcrafted process brings an organic element to the Andersen product that is not found in more mechanized processes.

We are considering licensing the rights to produce some of our designs and are looking at our collection of mug designs as a natural starting point. One of the mug designs can be viewed at www.andersenstudio.com by searching “mugs”. There are at least half a dozen other mug designs that are not pictured.

Andersen Design’s production process starts with raw materials sourced in America. Our glaze and body recipes are our original creations. Our work is slip-cast in plaster molds. This process can be adapted to small to medium size productions.

We do not want to have our designs produced in third world countries with undeveloped labor rights and environmental rights and will stipulate that in our contractual agreement.

We are also looking for expertise in creating a contractual agreement for this project.

This idea is in its conceptual stage and we are open to ideas.
